Welcome to the USS Hecate!

Praxis changed everything
With the signing of the Khitomer Accords, the United Federation of Planets and her greatest adversary, the Klingon Empire, found themselves in an uneasy peace.
In the two years since the signing of the Accords the Federation Council has tasked Starfleet Command with revamping the Beta Quadrant Exploration program. The USS Hecate, one of the first Excelsior Refit vessels in the fleet will embark on a five year exploration mission beyond the Klingon and Romulan Empires. Penetrating the furthest reaches of the Beta Quadrant, her name is destined to be drawn in the same breath as Excelsior, Enterprise and other storied ships of Starfleet’s history.
Take a look around. If you like what you see, fill out an application form. Should you not see a position you want on the manifest, please contact us.
On behalf of the staff and crew of the USS Hecate, welcome! Join us and discover the Federation’s Golden Age!

Crew!
The Hecate is slowly coming out of her hibernation.
With work now calming down, I'll slowly be getting to grips with moving the Hecate along this week.
The aim is to get Shakedown finished before the end of the year so we can begin 2025 by getting our exploratory voyage well under way.
Please keep an eye out for tags and updates!

Crew!
It's a little early here, but I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year.
I'd also like to thank you on making 2023 a very successful year for the Hecate.
This sim is an idea I'd been working on for a while before committing it to paper so to speak, and I'm gratified and humbled that you'd all contribute your considerable talents to getting her off the ground.
Here's to 2024 and another successful year for the Hecate!

Crew!
My sincere thanks on a job well-done in September.
You hard work earned the Hecate the Silver Unit of Distinction for the month.
Our XO, Khiane Mau, written by StarGeek, earned the Writer of the Month award.
The Hecate also earned an Award of Merit for September for 23-C.
In the quarterly awards we also earned CO of the Quarter too - an award reflective of the good work of the crew!

[And now the conclusion ...]
Moving through the throng of senior officers, Burke spotted Hunt and another officer huddled away. Giving friendly wave, he approached them both. 'Lieutenant Hunt, top flying earlier today - you really helped us out of our bind earlier.' He looked to the Ensign stood by him. 'I'm afraid we haven't met, Ensign, Captain Robert Burke.' He extended his hand.
Shanice quickly accepted the Captain's hand. "Shanice Winters, media relations officer."
"Thank you, Sir," Hunt replied. "Just glad teaching didn't cause me to miss a step. A bold move on your part."
'It takes a…

Vincent walked over to the record player and lowered the volume a bit, before grabbing a glass and fork. As he walked back, he began to gently tap on the glass, to get the attention of everyone gathered there. "Hello Everyone. Can I get your attention, if you please?" He said as he stopped in front of the table and looked around the room at everyone gathered. "First off, for those I haven't formally met, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Commander Vincent Salvatore and I have been assigned as the First Officer and Chief of Intelligence on board.…

Feeling a little awkward to be wandering the ship out of uniform, Burke had opted for a light blue shirt, sleeves rolled up. He'd paired it with a dark blue pair of chinos, brown shoes and a nice watch. He'd also picked out a chunky pair of glasses from his little collection. Don't want to make a bad impression on the crew, now, he thought. After some thought, he had decided to bring two bottles of wine. A fine Argentinian malbec and a New Zealand white, to cover all bases. A part of his small box of treats for…

ON:
Vincent walked around the Mess Hall to make sure everything was in its place. He arranged this get together in order to introduce himself to his crew and vis versa. He was now their XO, as well as his Chief Intelligence Officer, so he felt it was a good way to share a bit of himself in a surrounding he was comfortable in. Vincent had been to many parties like this, often thrown by his brother, to ingratiate himself to his crew to gain their trust and learn about them. Mainly to exploit any weaknesses they had if he…

It hadn't taken long for the newly named Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jeremiah "James" McEntyre, Jr to get his office in Sickbay set up with the various knickknacks and personal touches. He had been aboard for a few hours, wanting to make sure that all the Sickbay systems were up to par, especially with a newly commissioned ship.
Stepping out from behind his desk with a purr, he gave it one last look over before he turned and headed out to the main floor of the facility.
He nodded as he passed several nurses that were going about getting…
