Welcome to the USS Hecate!

Praxis changed everything
With the signing of the Khitomer Accords, the United Federation of Planets and her greatest adversary, the Klingon Empire, found themselves in an uneasy peace.
In the two years since the signing of the Accords the Federation Council has tasked Starfleet Command with revamping the Beta Quadrant Exploration program. The USS Hecate, one of the first Excelsior Refit vessels in the fleet will embark on a five year exploration mission beyond the Klingon and Romulan Empires. Penetrating the furthest reaches of the Beta Quadrant, her name is destined to be drawn in the same breath as Excelsior, Enterprise and other storied ships of Starfleet’s history.
Take a look around. If you like what you see, fill out an application form. Should you not see a position you want on the manifest, please contact us.
On behalf of the staff and crew of the USS Hecate, welcome! Join us and discover the Federation’s Golden Age!

Crew!
The Hecate is slowly coming out of her hibernation.
With work now calming down, I'll slowly be getting to grips with moving the Hecate along this week.
The aim is to get Shakedown finished before the end of the year so we can begin 2025 by getting our exploratory voyage well under way.
Please keep an eye out for tags and updates!

Crew!
It's a little early here, but I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year.
I'd also like to thank you on making 2023 a very successful year for the Hecate.
This sim is an idea I'd been working on for a while before committing it to paper so to speak, and I'm gratified and humbled that you'd all contribute your considerable talents to getting her off the ground.
Here's to 2024 and another successful year for the Hecate!

Crew!
My sincere thanks on a job well-done in September.
You hard work earned the Hecate the Silver Unit of Distinction for the month.
Our XO, Khiane Mau, written by StarGeek, earned the Writer of the Month award.
The Hecate also earned an Award of Merit for September for 23-C.
In the quarterly awards we also earned CO of the Quarter too - an award reflective of the good work of the crew!
Here's to many more in the coming years!

[And now, the conclusion ...]
He seemed quiet for a moment, as if thinking of something, before lowering his mug to speak it. "I can tell you out right, Captain, there is a chance we aren't going to be welcomed. There are a many House's in the Klingon Empire that were opposed to the Accords and would sooner look for a reason to take us out. Not to mention, you're going to have to deal with the infighting between between the Klingons. They are constantly throwing threats and accusations, plotting to remove or dishonor one another, just to gain…

Vincent felt the turbolift jerk slightly as it reached the bridge. The doors opened to reveal everyone hard at work, but no Captain in sight. That's probably because he was waiting for Vin in his Ready Room. A meeting Vincent wasn't all to sure about. A part of him was eager to get back to his work, but the other part of him was curious. In his experience, when a man in the top chair wants to have a sit down, you never turn it down. Out of respect. Given what they just went through, Captain Burke definitely had…

Gia sipped the coffee again, deciding to forego having a biscuit with it, "The way I see it, Captain, is that I would only be able to do this much on Earth," she made a small circle with her hands and then a larger one as she continued talking, "And if I was to go out into the universe, I'd be able to do so much more to help people, so the question is why not Starfleet?" She flashed him another grin and finished off her coffee.
'I can't argue with that,' Burke chuckled…

"Transfer orders, security clearances, quarters assignment, belongings, meet the Captain," Gia nodded each things out as she said them while she waited to use the transporter to get aboard the ship. She was making sure she hadn't forgotten any of the important things, and gave up so she could talk to a couple of other people transferring in too.
That was Gia: she loved talking to people and would rather be around others than be by herself, hence why she became a counsellor. She was excited to be a part of the new program in Starfleet to being one…

The Imperial Klingon Ship Jaj had a long and glorious history.
One of the first D5 battlecruisers to emerge from the DaQ’yan Forge a century and a half before, he had been in almost continuous service since. K’urer’Sh the Lowborn felt the worn metal sides of his command chair as he rotated it from the Main Viewer to look at the glowering face of his Lieutenant.
He knew that the officers around him doubted his appointment, despite his achievements. K’urer’Sh wore no house insignia on his brushed duranium alloy bandolier, the weathered metal showing only the insignia of the…
